This American IPA is made from a rare Hop called HBC 342. Most brewers aren’t aware of this hop yet!
Oggi’s American IPA gives off a slight Blueberry aroma and flavor. It is similar to our Torrey Pines in that it is dry hopped in with 3 lbs per barrel, which allows for a huge fresh hop aroma!
American IPA will be released March, 17th, check your local Oggi’s location for when it will be on tap!

Oggi’s chain wide will be launching a new barrel aging program this summer. We will be offering our beers in barrels anywhere from a bourbon barrel to a red wine barrel. A new beer will be available at your local Oggi’s every three months. The goal is to have a barrel aged beer on tap year round. This is a big commitment, but we are very excited to use our knowledge in this field to bring these great beers to the public. Cheers!
It has been almost two years since we have brewed this beer, but the popular Oggi’s Red IPA is coming back in February. It should be just as good or even better this time around. Keep a look out in February at your local Oggi’s as each location should have it on tap. Cheers everyone.
It has now been three months since we replaced the Oggi’s Light with the New Double Up Double IPA. Is everyone happy with it? I know we are. We would love to hear your feedback on this beer if possible. Cheers!
Once agian the Great American Beer Festival in Denver Colorado is upon us. We head off to Denver next week with hopes to bring home a medal for one of our World Class Oggi’s beers. We entered 9 beers this year and will have 5 beers to serve on the festival floors. Once again we got all of Oggi’s involved sending beers from Oggi’s Carmel Mountain Ranch, Oggi’s Mission Valley, and Oggi’s Apple Valley. A medal will be a great finish to the year. Wish us luck. Cheers!
As many of you know, Oggi’s recently received a Silver medal at the World Beer Cup for the Allyssa’s Attitude English Mild brewed by Randy Richey at Oggi’s Apple Valley. Well we decided to brew this beer for the entire franchise with Randy’s assistance. This nice easy drinking Brown Ale will be available at all Oggi’s in September. We are very proud of this beer and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. Cheers!
I just got back from Texas and experienced a very different Craft Beer market than California. I found it very interesting how far behind they were. They are going through the same craze we were going though 3-4 years ago where every beer needs to be big, full of hops, and new. I am hoping this fads and I am sure it will. This brings up a question. Do you prefer a more session able beer with great flavor or a more heavy full flavored beer that you may only be able to have one of? There is nothing better than finding a great beer you can have 5 of in one sitting and not fall over. Comments?

I am definitely not a master in Barrel Aging but I have learned a few things as of recent. Sometimes when aging a beer in let’s say a port barrel, you can get a very potent flavor that over powers the original flavor of the great beer. When this arises and you want to recapture the original beer flavors, you can blend the barrel beer with the original beer in certain percentages. This all comes from testing the percentages of barrel to beer over and over, which can be very fun. Do this until you get a nice mix that satisfies both the barrel flavor and the original flavors of the beer. This is called a blend. Enjoy!
The World Beer Cup being held in San Diego this year is fast approaching. We will be sending our beers off in a couple of weeks. Wish us luck. Like always we have high hopes to bring home a medal. All the brewers for Oggi’s are working very hard to do so. We are entering a few new beers this year including a Rye IPA brewed at Carmel Mountain Ranch Oggi’s, a Robust Porter and English IPA brewed at Mission Valley Oggi’s and a Black IPA brewed at the Central Brewing facility in San Clemente. Let’s bring home those medals. Cheers!
